Nahavand is an ancient city south of the Hamedan province in western Iran. Rugs from this city are extremely durable and are made with soft local lamb's wool that has a beautiful shine like silk. The colors are often a pale rust-red or beige on a dark blue background with patterns that usually have a large medallion in the center and smaller, nomadic-inspired motifs surrounding it.
Important tip: we recommend that an anti-slip pad such as a total grip is used underneath rugs to prevent slippage between the rug and the surface it is placed on.
Please note: allow for a slight variation of colors depending on monitor settings. This item cannot be delivered to a PO box, only to a street address.
