The apse has a side entrance and can be used as a cooking area in bad weather. The tunnel tent is extremely wind stable with the narrow side facing the wind direction. The tunnel tent is quickly and easily erected together with the inner tent with three pole arches and tensioned lengthwise. The shortened rear pole arch saves material and weight. The inner tent can also be unhooked to store it dry in the rain.
