What is LEGO® Super Mario™?

LEGO® Super Mario™ allows you to bring your favourite characters into the physical world of LEGO®. Each set allows kids and adults to experience Super Mario™ through interactive LEGO® figures that interact in fun ways with the world you create.

The aim of the game is to collect coins in real-life game levels that you build with LEGO® bricks. To experience LEGO® Super Mario™, all you’ll need is a LEGO® Super Mario™ Starter Course (these are the ones that include an interactive figure, the start pipe and a goal pole); you can always add more later when you want to grow your collection! When you add more LEGO® Super Mario™ sets, like power-up and expansion sets, you’ll unlock even more exciting challenges and characters that’ll help you create more advanced courses and adventures.

When was LEGO® Super Mario™ created?

LEGO® Super Mario™ was first created in 2020 when LEGO® and Nintendo joined forces to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the game Super Mario Bros™ (which was first released in 1985). Since then, it’s continued to grow in popularity, with new and exciting sets released each year.

In 2023, there are several planned releases, including character packs, Conkdor’s Noggin Bopper Expansion Set, Ice Mario Suit and Frozen World Expansion Set, Lava Wave Ride Expansion Set, Fliprus Snow Adventure Expansion Set, Peach’s Garden Balloon Ride Expansion Set, and a creativity toolbox maker set!
