Do not purchase - product prone to breakage

I purchased the Pierre Cardin Hard Shell Luggage Set (in Silver) and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with both the product quality and the after-sales support. After only using the large suitcase for 1 overseas trip in October 2025 and specifically rolling the suitcase about 1km on a standard paved path (our second stop in the October trip) the wheel assembly began to fail. What started as a single loose wheel quickly escalated into multiple cracks around the wheel housing, ultimately causing one wheel to detach entirely. The photos clearly show significant structural failure in the casing, not just superficial wear. What’s particularly frustrating is that this damage occurred without any misuse, airline handling, or excessive force; given it was the only second stop on the trip. The suitcase was treated with care and used only a handful of times, yet the plastic around the wheel mounts appeared to be too weak to withstand basic travel conditions. Once the first wheel failed, the integrity of the base was compromised, leading to progressive damage to the remaining wheels. I then contacted Pierre Cardin Handbags Australia to lodge a warranty claim, providing detailed photos and a clear explanation of how the damage occurred. Despite this, my claim was rejected (even though the product had been registered, at the time of purchase, for the "life-time" warranty), with the company insisting the damage was due to "repetitive and extensive force". This assessment does not align with the actual usage or the visible failure points. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed. A suitcase should be durable enough for normal travel, and when it fails so quickly, I would expect the warranty to stand behind the product. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this luggage set, particularly given the lack of support when things went wrong.
