Luxury good with practical use flaws

The OXO Pop Container - Big Square Medium is a luxury product to store your dry goods. It's made from BPA-free plastic and the materials are sturdy for frequent use. It's aesthetically pleasing on your pantry shelf and has a simple to use POP button on the lid. However, I don't fully trust the lid on this design version of the product. You can hear the airlock when the button closes the lid, but it's a pressure fit close. If you hold only the lid (with flour or sugar in the container), the container will slide off the lid. For the price you pay of a single unit, I think the lid should be secured. Also, this could be a me issue, but if I have to gather several of these 6" wide containers for something I'm making, I HAVE to use both hands per container to collect them from the shelf. You don't have to do that with a cereal box.. Just saying.

LIDS DO NOT SEAL

Just picked up 2 of these (ordered 6; waiting for the balance). So very disappointed. I have a pantry full of OXO originals and they are amazing. Sadly, these new containers do not seal. I can easily lift the lid off without pressing the pop button. These will be going back. The entire point of airtight pantry storage is that it must be airtight.
