Patty Mills was the first ever Indigenous Australian to be a flag bearer for the Australian Olympic Team at Tokyo 2021. He was also the captain of the Australian Boomers and led them to their first ever Olympic Bronze medal. Being only the third Indigenous Australian to play for the Boomers.
However Patty's story is more than just this magical moment.
He has been a champion Point Guard for numerous clubs, most notably the San Antonio Spurs and now the Brooklyn Nets. He currently holds the record for the most NBA games played by an Australian.
Patty has been a pivotal figure for Indigenous Rights in Australia. Patty has donated significant sums of money to help fight racism and police brutality in Australia. He help create campaigns such as We Got You' - a campaign to help fight racism in Australian sport.
