Can't tell whether or not the hair dryer protects hair, but found it very loud and quite heavy. The hair drying is quite stylish and looks nice. It dries hair fairly quickly.

I bought this a few weeks ago as had an old one that I bought ten years ago. This hairdryer is amazing as it dries your hair quickly and dries it pretty straight too, so sometimes I don’t even need to use my straighteners. It’s very quiet and would recommend to anyone who wants to protect hair, and dry it safely and quickly. Always an amazing brand too!

I bought the new GHD Speed Ionic after my tremendously positive experience with the wide plate hair straightener; long overdue for a new hair dryer, knowing I'll need something for this long, thick hair of mine.
