Let's face it. Leaving butter out in the Sydney summer doesn't work, the butter is soups within an hour. This is a small enough butter dish to use during the winter, doesn't take up too much space on the kitchen counter and it's stable. Will still use it in the summer but leave it in the fridge until needed.
