I bought this a while ago. I have had enough time to use it and now think it deserves a review. This kettle must not have been use by the designer. When pouring hot water out of the spout it will burp the water out all at once. It does not come out in an even stream. The spout fills up with water and then the back pressure from the steam in the kettle will force a slug of water out all at once. This is a bad design. The whistle is also weak.

This tea kettle was a gift. It is modern and attractive. It is functional for boiling water, but unfortunately lacks an audible whistle. I would recommend this kettle only if you don't need the kettle to whistle. Also be forewarned that the handle & spout get too hot to touch so you need to remember to use a mitt. In addition, the lid is extremely difficult to remove plus it is challenging to fill the kettle since the handle is in the way. The worst case scenario happened only the second time I used the kettle - the kettle did not whistle, all the water boiled away and the kettle burnt, the bottom detached, and the lid is welded shut. I only had it for one month and it is totally ruined. The tea kettle was a gift, so unfortunately I do not have a receipt to return/exchange. When I came here to look up the kettle I was shocked to see the price and to know that my friend paid so much for a poorly functioning item! What am I going to tell her? Very disappointed!

Awesome kettle! It is great on my induction cooktop, easy to fill and pour and the whistle is just loud enough!
