What are Christmas crackers?

Christmas crackers, also called bon-bons, are festive table favours wrapped in decorative paper. Pull one apart with a friend to reveal a small gift, paper hat and joke inside.

How do Christmas crackers work?

Two people hold either end of the cracker and pull until it snaps apart. The person left holding the larger section usually gets the goodies inside.

What is inside a Christmas cracker?

Crackers traditionally contain a paper hat, a joke or trivia slip, and a small novelty gift. Premium styles may include upgraded gifts, so check the product details to see what’s inside.

How many crackers do I need?

Allow one cracker per guest and place one at each setting. Choose a pack that suits your guest list, with a few extras for any last-minute additions.

How do I use crackers on the table?

Place a cracker on each plate or beside each setting as part of your Christmas table styling. Coordinate the colours with your table linen, tableware and glassware for a pulled-together look.

Do crackers come in different styles?
