Beautiful glasses, shame about the packaging

The glasses themselves are stunning and a gift to my daughter to toast their upcoming wedding. I was however disappointed in the packaging. I have purchased other beautiful crystal items and received them in almost display quality packaging but these glasses arrived in a simple box and had cardboard wrapped around glasses which frayed off everywhere coating the glasses (and everything else in close proximity) in a dust. It felt cheap and a little tacky when giving them as a gift and having mess gp everywhere when opening them. Just to clarify, it is the Vera Wang/Wedgewood box I am referring to, not delivery packaging. For a pair of glasses of that price I was a little disappointed and embarrassed. Again, the glasses themselves are absolutely stunning and I have no regrets on choosing them, just a little let down by the packaging.
