I work on my feet usually on potentially slippery floors. For years I wore chucks with orthotics and they were ok. My niece turned me on to Vans. The soles are the right amount of grippy, and the footbeds are flat- a perfect platform for a removable orthotic. The inner footbed has better shock absorption with a slightly wider toebox. At the end of the day I have less discomfort.

Just like I remember but due to age and osteoarthritis in both ankles and feet, I added some nice insoles. These are about 8 hour shoes at best so I plan ahead. The only down side is the color options are limited with a size 16. Lucky black and white goes with just about everything.
