Keratin
Hair is made up of 90% keratin, an extremely strong protein that is a major component in the hair, skin, and nails. Keratins in the hair have large amounts of the sulfur-containing amino acid cysteine, which combines to form disulfide bridges that confer additional strength and rigidity by permanent, thermally-stable cross-linking. These strong bonds are flexible yet tough.

Argan (argania spinosa)
A rare oil native to Morocco, argan is highly valued for its nutritive, beautifying, and medicinal properties. In ancient times the Berbers of Morocco would collect the oil for use in cosmetics. Argan oil contains tocopherols (vitamin E), phenols, carotenes, squalene, and essential oleic acids.

Amino acids
Amino acids are the basis of proteins that make up hair. These include serine, threonine, valine, arginine, aspartic acid, alanine, proline, isoleucine, phenylalanine, and histidine. These amino acids have an affinity with hair because they are so small and can penetrate the cuticle providing moisture deeper inside the hair shaft
