I have used Shark brand appliances in my homes for many years, and even bought them for my daughters. This steam mop came up on special at just the right time, as my previous Shark steam mop, 17 years old, is just starting to be bothersome. This new one is great. It heats up very quickly, and the scrub roatation has 3 different settings, depending on the task at hand. I am thrilled with it. I've used it on muddy paw prints on the tiles, and even on a stain on a floor rug, which it lifted right out. I did it on the lowest scrub setting, so as not to damage the rug fibres. It WAS a dark stain, and now barely visible. The combination of steam, and the scrubbing action, lifted the fibres and got the stain out. With a house full of four pawed pets, I try to avoid chemicals, especially on the floors. The steam kills the germs, the scrub action lifts the most stubborn grime, and the easy on and off pads hold on to everything lifted from the floor. Throw them in the washing machine and they come up like new.A fabulous buy. My old Shark steam mop still works, so I will use it to clean my long front porch. To me Shark appliances are the best. I've even managed to convert a few friends to them, as well as family. Mynupright Shark vac is also still going strong after nearly 15 years.I have just bought a general household cleaning steamer as a gift for my dughter in law, as she was always borrowing mine!
