An on-trend style for everyday wear, these shorts are set to be his new go-to. Crafted in a cotton blend, they feature a fixed waistband with a zip front securing with a button, belt loops, pockets, and a relaxed fit through the leg.

Great fit for the price. Bought these for my son (he's in a size 12) and he's been wearing them all through winter, usually layered over leggings or with long socks and boots on colder days.

The denim is a decent mid-weight, not too stiff, so he wasn't complaining about them being scratchy after the first wash like some pairs we've tried. The length sits just above the knee, which is right for jorts rather than looking like proper jeans got cut off in a hurry. Waist has an adjustable elastic band inside, so we didn't need to size up for growth room and it still looks neat with a belt if he wants one.

Colour is black denim, true to the photos. No fading after a couple of months of regular washing on a normal cycle. Pockets are functional, not just for show, which matters when he's collecting rocks and bits of Lego everywhere he goes.

Sizing is true to size, so no need to size up or down. Stitching on one back pocket started to come loose after a few weeks, nothing that affected wear but worth a quick check if you're buying for someone rough on clothes.

Would buy again for the price. Good everyday shorts that layer up fine for winter, not fancy, does the job.
