About the artist:
Morgan Jamieson is an acclaimed regional Victorian artist based in Ocean Grove. Living on the coast, she has a strong connection to her native surroundings, which continues to inspire her practice.
Art plays a defining role in Morgans life, as well as her relationships and interactions with people. Morgan has travelled extensively, visiting some of the worlds most acclaimed galleries, drawing inspiration from some of historys greats. Working intuitively, Morgan feels her highest self when experimenting with colour and texture. Her distinctive style conveys authenticity and an intense, experimental use of colour and shape from natures form.
Morgans obsession with the science of colour is evident in her work, which is described as experimental, clashy and imperfect. At the age of 16, Morgan was producing and selling art, going on to study and complete a Bachelor of Visual Arts majoring in Graphic Design. She then worked as a Graphic Designer for 12 years before deciding to pursue her career as an artist full-time.

Created exclusively for the Art Series x Myer collaboration, Jungle Funk is an original work by Morgan Jamieson, painted using acrylics and professional mediums. This piece explores a delicate balance between intensity and calm, using cool tones, organic forms, and layered textures to evoke a beautiful sense of tranquillity. Inspired by the natural environment of her coastal hometown, Ocean Grove, Victoria, Morgans work continues to reflect her connection to her surroundings and her ever-evolving artistic practice.

Care Instructions: For best results, burn candle for 3 to 4 hours at a time. Trim wick once wax has solidified to 1cm. Straighten wick to vertical position before lighting.
Warning: Never leave a burning candle unattended Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn on or near flammable materials. Always burn candle on a non-flammable surface. Remove all packaging before burning candle. Do not touch whilst in use. Discontinue use 6mm of wax remains.
