How is heat insulation tested. We have tested this flask in the lab according to standard EN 12546-1, at an ambient temperature of 20AC while filled to capacity. The time it takes to drop from 95AC to 50AC (drinks temperature considered warm enough to drink) is 23 hours. The secret of this insulated flask. This insulated flask is stainless steel double wall with vacuum blocks heat by conduction and convection. A thin layer of copper reduces thermal exchanges by radiation. A few tips to improve heat insulation fill your flask with warm water for 5 minutes, and then replace the water with your hot liquids, then close. The fuller the flask, the better the heat retention.
