Great product - shame about the smell

The technique plates themselves are good and serve the purpose I bought them for. However they are made of plastic and have a terrible chemical smell. I've had them a few weeks now and the smell is not improving. They smell so bad I have to keep them outdoors. Also because they are made of plastic, they will warp if left in directl sunlight or very warm rooms.
