Unsure about exfoliation effectiveness

I bought this as an accompaniment for the Clinique All About Clean Foaming Facial Soap for Dry skin, as recommended. I've tried it before and am still unsure if it works as claimed. Getting the balance right between exfoliation and drying is tricky and am not sure it's achieved. Will see how I feel after I finish the product. Until then I can't recommend to others. If it's exfoliation you want then it might be best to try Clarifying Lotion 2 and use a stronger moisturizer.
