How many lights do I need for my Christmas tree?

As a rough guide, allow around 100 lights per foot of tree height for an even glow. Larger or fuller trees may need more, especially if you love plenty of Christmas sparkle.

What is the difference between string and cluster lights?

String lights space bulbs evenly along a wire for a classic look, while cluster lights group more bulbs closely together for a denser, brighter glow.

Should I choose warm white or multicolour lights?

Warm white gives a classic, cosy look, while multicolour lights feel bright and playful. Some LED lights offer multiple modes, so you can switch between them.

Are LED Christmas lights better?

LED lights use less energy, run cooler and last longer than traditional bulbs, making them an energy-efficient choice for trees and indoor displays.

Can I connect multiple light sets together?

Many modern light sets are connectable, letting you join several sets together from one power point. Check the product details for connection limits and maximum run times before setting them up.

How do I put lights on a tree?

Start near the trunk and work out towards the tips, weaving the lights through the branches to create depth. Work your way from the top to the bottom, moving around the tree for an even glow.

What brands of Christmas lights does Myer stock?

Myer’s Christmas lights range features new and returning festive brands each season, with styles spanning string, cluster and fairy lights.

How do I store Christmas lights without tangling?

Wind your lights around a reel or a piece of sturdy card, or return them to their original packaging. A little organisation now means less untangling when Christmas rolls around again.

Does Myer offer free delivery on Christmas lights?

Yes. Myer offers free delivery on eligible orders over $99, plus Click & Collect. See our Delivery and Click & Collect page. Some items may be available for delivery only.

What is Myer's returns policy?

Myer accepts returns within the stated returns window, provided items are unused and in their original packaging. See our returns policy page for full details.
