We chose new cottage as our everyday China for our wedding 5 years ago. At that time, we only ordered the deep soup bowls. I wanted a more shallow bowl for salads, quinoa bowls, etc. and this bowl is perfect. I like the wider rim and am thrilled it matches all of our oval plates. Iā€™m all about presentation and aesthetics and food looks lovely in these bowls. So pleased with our purchase! After 5 years, the plates and other items look fantastic.

At first, I thought I would have little use for a formal-looking soup bowl, maybe for serving a small veggie side dish. But I use this piece almost daily! I love its elegant modern oval shape, its dainty feel in my hand, the smoothness of its beautiful porcelain finish. It is an aesthetic joy to use it - from loaded baked potato to stir-fry supper to anything with a saucy texture. I ordered more.
