Reviews

Outstanding quality and very lightweight.

LEK KAH — 4 out of 5 stars

I use this lens for shooting interior spaces and landscapes. Basically, the image quality is not compromised just because the aperture is only F4, and it is fully sufficient. As for shooting video, I feel it has a huge advantage on a gimbal because I don't need to frequently re-balance the gimbal. Furthermore, the weight of this lens is very light; even after holding the setup (camera + lens + gimbal) for an hour, I still felt it was much more lightweight and convenient than using other lenses before. When I use this lens to shoot long-exposure photos of interior spaces and landscapes, its front element is not a bulbous type, allowing me to directly attach regular filters, which is very convenient. I believe that considering its price, quality, and weight, this is a lens with very high cost-performance. My user experience has been very good, and I would give this lens a score of 90 out of 100 in terms of price, weight, image quality, and overall feeling.

The stay in bag wide angle zoo

Nbshots — 5 out of 5 stars

Ideal when you need access to a wide angle zoom for 5% of a shoot ( vs the more major std zoom lens) to safe space and weight. Sacrificing one stop for form is fine as depth of field and shake is less obvious for wide lens.

Superb lens

MikeyP — 5 out of 5 stars

I bought this lens to replace a cropped sensor version I had for my old A6000 and I have not been disappointed. It does exactly what I bought it for, allowing great wide-angle shots of landscapes, architecture and portraits. I love it and it is now my lens of choice, if I have to pick just one to hike with. Very much looking forward to testing it in NW Scotland later this year, where I am sure it will impress just as much as it has in its homeland of Australia.
