This cooktop has 2 cooking zones with a timer for each one. Boost Function, on both zones, is a function that maximises power to the selected cooking zone. When activated the function operates for 5 minutes and provides faster, more powerful cooking e.g. to heat a large pot of water to cook rice or pasta. The Total Input Power of this cooktop is 3.6kW.</div><div><br></div><div>Other functions on this versatile cooktop include Pause/Resume function so you can quickly delay cooking without losing your settings should you need to leave the kitchen, and Bridge Function so the two independent cooking zones can be controlled separately or used as a large single zone. When combined with a cast iron griddle (such as Kleenmaids CIG4523, which can be purchased separately) the ICT3010 becomes your perfect indoor BBQ companion  no more weather worries.</div><div><br></div><div>Safety features are also integral to this appliance. Cooktop controls may be locked to prevent unintended use (for example children accidentally turning a cooking zone on), and Residual Heat Indicators operate to show which cooking zones are still hot after they are turned off as a warning against possible injury from hot surfaces. Not very responsive, burner on Boost shut off after a well as expected but and it then runs at a very low level.
For a unit that claims to be 3.6 KW it doesn’t cut It. The power control is based on time on and then off  not based on energy level that don’t burn your food, like brands such as Bosch, Miele etc.
Other issues include unreliable temperature variations . It no better than any of the cheap inductions on the market
