Elliptical cross trainers are excellent fitness machines for individuals who demand a training regime that works on all muscles and yet eliminates the risk of impact injuries such as treadmill running or walking.

Very easy to put together and suits my needs as I'm now retired and needed some exercise.

Excellent product.

Sorry to say this. Since Day 1 of using the machine, I have experienced a recurring, severe mechanical failure. While riding the trainer, the left pedal hinge bolt (identified as part 61L in the manual) and its corresponding nut cap (part 64) continuously unthread and detach themselves completely.
This is not a minor cosmetic issue; it is a critical structural fault. The sudden detachment of the pedal hinge while the machine is in motion can cause a complete loss of stability, presenting an immediate risk of mechanical collapse and severe physical injury. As a consumer, I expect fitness equipment to be safe and fit for purpose, which this unit clearly is not.
Under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), products must be of acceptable quality, safe, and durable. Because this issue occurred immediately upon use and poses a direct safety hazard, it constitutes a major failure of the product.
I have attached photos showing the specific parts (61L and 64) that continue to back out of the housing.
I look forward to your swift assistance.
