This dehumidifier works okay, but I would recommend investing the money and just buying a better one. While it definitely pulls water from the air (I collect about 2 liters from my bedroom every week) the display doesn't seem to be accurate as the humidity has never lowered below 55 and I have the system going 24/7. Additionally, my bathroom towel hang on the back of my door and it still won't dry in my room. In saying all that, I have definitely noticed a difference in the feel of my bedsheets and clothes which otherwise felt kind of damp in winter (I live in Sydney).

The AS3112 power plug was bent, thankfully it os made of such soft metal it easily bent back. The UV LEDs are on the outside, so either they do nothing or you're getting photokeratitis. There is no apparent way to turn them off without the IR remote. The fan is loud, which seems mad given half the advantage of a TEC is silence. No dust filter. No easy way to access fan when it eventually clogs. It is compact. The unit is almost, but not quite, manufactured waste. The TEC itself performs as well as can be expected. Shipped via Couriers Please, who are not great, an Auspost option would have been much better. Myer requires me to fill one of the optional media fields, so pic is the exposed 'UV' LED. It appears blue to the eye. The product and entire experience buying this has damaged my opinion of Myer as a brand.
