Solid purchase for quality and price
Mick D — 4 out of 5 stars
Solid, mid level half rack and smith machine. Price for quality is good, happy with purchase against cheaper entey level options. Recommend extra weight add on.

Neat piece of equipment.
Tomm — 5 out of 5 stars
I bought the SM26 recently and just finished assembling the unit. It did take a while so make sure you set aside a day or so to get through it. I personally didn't find the instructions that bad, sure the could do with a tweak here and there, but overall they were pretty decent. Where I personally got stuck was adding the extra weight plates which I purchased separately. In the upgraded pack you receive a longer rod and you need to fix that to the counter weight (#34) in the instructions.. What they don't tell you is that the pin comes pre pressed in the smaller weight selection rod (#15) to suit the smaller 70kg stack. You'll need something thin and rigid enough to knock that out and re-fit to the longer rod in order to progress. The only other thing I would recommend is that make sure your room is wide enough to install the smith bar haha.. my room fits the unit but it's snug. I couldn't squeeze the smith bar in like the instructions so I had to remove one side of the front vertical tubes (#3) so that I could swivel the bar in and re attach. Overall it's a decent piece of equipment in my eyes and I'm looking forward to using it.
Disappointed in cables
Fit and freaky — 4 out of 5 stars
One thing I was really disappointed about was the adjustable cables. They’re not convenient at all — you have to constantly screw the knob in and out just to make a simple adjustment. I upgraded from the SM20 to the SM26 and was honestly shocked to discover they changed to this cable system. I can’t believe someone thought this was an improvement. And don’t even get me started on the manual! The numbers were labelled incorrectly on the equipment, and half of them didn’t even match the descriptions in the manual. Nothing was clear at all — it was a complete nightmare. Other than that, the machine itself is great!
