Small Lens, Big Perspective!

I used to buy expensive zoom lenses just to get that ultra-wide angle. Turns out, sometimes less really is more! The Canon RF 16mm f/2.8 completely changed my approach. It’s incredibly small, lightweight, sharp, and surprisingly capable for its size and price. The wide f/2.8 aperture is a huge bonus, especially when shooting in challenging light. It’s become one of those lenses I can throw in my bag without even thinking about it. Perfect for travel, landscapes, interiors, and creative wide-angle shots. My tip? Enable lens corrections, especially for distortion, and pay attention to your composition near the edges. I’ve learned that I’d often rather carry two lightweight primes than one bulky zoom. More freedom, less weight, and no unnecessary compromises. The best lens isn’t always the biggest or most expensive. It’s the one you actually take with you.
