A Great Little Machine
TrevR β 5 out of 5 stars
I've been using this camera for a while now, on many holidays and it does everything I need it to do. With failing eyesight, I needed a replacement for my DSLR. The SX740 HS fits the bill in spades and it fits in my pocket. On a recent trip to Africa, I needed the shutter speed control for moving animals under zoom and the image stabilization for videos. The high speed multi shutter option was very useful. Some shots were so good, one of our fellow travelers put an order in for the SX720 HS. My only issue is that it can be prone to allow dust inside the lens. This happened to my previous camera (SX720 HS) which cannot be repaired due to parts out of production. All up, I'm very happy with this unit!
Quality Pocket Camera
β 5 out of 5 stars
I bought this little camera several years back, it has served me well and takes brilliant photographs. Initially it was bought as a travel and pocket camera, but because of the quality of the photos it has become my main camera. I considered several other brands before deciding on the Canon, but no other similar camera could match this one for quality and feel. Years later I am still 100% satisfied with my purchase and recommend Canon.
