User friendly with great features!

I've been extremely impressed with my upgrade to my Canon EOS R6 Mark II. It's an easy all round camera that's both user friendly and packed with some pretty cool features. The autofocus is incredibly fast and accurate, especially with moving subjects. The eye tracking feature is fantastic for doing wildlife photography and the image quality is excellent with beautiful detail, colours and great performance in low-light conditions. The camera feels comfortable and well-balanced in my hands and I love how intuitive the controls and settings are. The image stabilisation is another standout feature, it makes handheld photography so much easier. The camera itself makes photography enjoyable while giving me plenty of room to keep learning, experimenting and growing as a photographer.

I bought my R6 mark II about a year ago. It’s truly amazing, I don’t think there is much I want to but cannot do with it. The liberty to choose between mechanical shutter or electronic is great, though I did find that the battery doesn’t last long if you start using continuous shooting. Stabilisation is a real plus, I like playing around with motion blur and this helps a lot/makes it possible. It’s definitely on the bulkier side, but again, that’s a positive for me personally.

2 Years with the R6 Mark II

I bought this camera & 3 RF lenses to replace the old EF gear that I had, the body has not let me down in the 2 odd years that I have used it across wildlife, sports, events and astrophotography. Some of the events that I have shot have been in excess of 4 hours long and this make ergonomics important when you're on your feet for that amount of time. The sensor has a 1.6 crop factor that can be activated in the settings which assists in getting those shots that you might otherwise miss. The image stabilisation has also been a godsend with not having to carry a tripod when photographing waterfalls making capturing shots that were not possible with the EF gear look easy. Sports such as cricket and rugby league require a fast shutter speed which the R6 Mark II handles effortlessly, delivering sharp images with the assistance of the autofocus making this genre a dream to photograph.
