Bought this camera a few years ago now and it hasn't disappointed me, even though I took it through its paces!

Reviews
Dreams do come true
Mags Media NZ โ 5 out of 5 stars
I didn't think Canon could do much better than the R5/1DX Mark II. They did. The R3 is the perfect body for any scenario, and with truly silent shutter available, is unobtrusive. The autofocus and fps is everything I hoped it would be, and the weather sealing makes it a reliable performer in any conditions. Increasing the resolution would be a great improvement for a 'Mark II' version, as that would allow the user to crop in when using prime lenses (much like the R5's resolution allows sports photographers to crop in when on a 400mm f/2.8).
Perfect portraits every time

I purchased the canon R3 nearly 12 months ago. I never imagined I would ever own such a marvellous camera. The autofocus and subject tracking are phenomenal. Taking pics of grandkids and pets that are in perfect focus has never been so easy. Imagine taking 50 pics in a couple of seconds while your grandchild plays on a swing. Every one in perfect focus. You scroll through and find the one with perfect eye contact and lighting: precious memories canโt be bought, they only exist in short bursts. Exactly the feature that ensures your on a winner. Impressed.
