The 22cm Clear Vase is derived from the 40cm original version presented by Alvar Aalto at New York World Fair in 1939, three years after the iconic Aalto Vase design was presented at the Paris World Fair. Its fluid, organic form is still mouth blown today at the Iittala factory. It takes a team of seven skilled craftsmen working as one to create one Aalto vase an icon of modern design.
