Face Masks & Peels
Face masks and peels are an easy way to give skin a quick refresh between your regular skincare routine. Whether you want deep hydration after travel, a clay mask to help remove excess oil and impurities, an overnight treatment for tired-looking skin or a gentle peel to brighten dull skin, Myer's masks and peels range covers a wide variety of skincare concerns. Choose from clay, gel, sheet, hydrogel, overnight, and exfoliating formulas.
How often should I use a face mask?
Most face masks can be used once or twice a week alongside daily cleansing and moisturising. Hydrating sheet masks and overnight masks may be suitable for more frequent use, while clay and exfoliating peel formulas are best limited to one or two times a week.
What is the difference between a mask and a peel?
Masks deliver targeted skincare ingredients such as hydration, brightening or clarifying formulas over 10 to 20 minutes. Peels use acids including AHAs, BHAs or PHAs to help exfoliate dead skin cells and smooth skin texture. Both can be part of the same skincare routine, but it's best not to use them on the same day.
Which face mask is best for my skin type?
Dry or dehydrated skin may benefit from cream, gel and hydrating sheet masks with hyaluronic acid. Oily and blemish-prone skin suits clay and charcoal masks. Sensitive skin types may prefer fragrance-free, soothing formulas with ingredients such as rosewater or oat.
What is a sheet mask?
A sheet mask is a single-use fabric or hydrogel sheet soaked in concentrated serum, designed to sit on the face for 15 to 20 minutes. It locks ingredients close to the skin for an intensive hit of hydration or brightening.
Are masks suitable for acne-prone skin?
Yes, some are. Clay, charcoal and salicylic acid masks can help absorb excess oil and clear congested pores, while overnight masks with niacinamide may help soothe the look of redness. Avoid heavy formulas and patch test new products if you have active breakouts or sensitive skin.
