Terms and Conditions

  1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. This is a Game of Skill and chance plays no part in determining a Winner.
  2. Entry is open to Australian residents. Directors, employees of Myer and their immediate families (including spouse, parent, child or sibling whether or not they live in the same house) are ineligible to enter. Printers, suppliers, providers and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Participants under 18 years of age must seek parent or legal guardian approval before taking part in the promotion. If the Winner is under 18 years of age, the Prize will be awarded to the Winners parent or legal guardian.
  3. HOW TO ENTER: To enter, log on to www.myer.com.au/jumpthequeue and complete and submit the online entry form as indicated;
    1. response in 25 words or less the question relating to the current promotion; THEN
    2. the entry form will require, without limitation, your full name, age, address including postcode, phone number, and email address.
    - Purchase is not required.

    Promotional period: NSW / WA residents: 16/11/2010 at 9:00am – 23/11/2010 at 12:00pm
    QLD/ VIC/ SA residents: 16/11/2010 at 9:00am – 30/11/2010at 12:00pm
    NSW/WA Judging: 23 November 2010 from 1:00pm
    Criteria: The most creative and unique answers as selected by the judging panel will be deemed winners.
    Prize pool: There are two (2) prizes to be awarded in each participating state (NSW, SA, WA, QLD, VIC). The first two entrants selected by the judging panel in participating states will each receive a double pass to Stereosonic National in their state of residence plus two (2) Onelove Smash your Stereo 2010 CD's. Valued at $300 per double pass and CD. Total prize package is valued at up to $600.00 per state.
    PROMOTION: Summadayze Music Festival
    Participating states: VIC, WA, SA, QLD
    Promotional period: Commences 1/12/2010 at 9:00am and concludes 22/12/2010 at 12:00pm
    Judging Date: 23 December 2010 from 1:00pm
    Criteria: The most creative and unique answers as selected by the judging panel will be deemed winners.
    Prize pool: There are four (4) prizes to be awarded in each participating state. The first four entrants selected by the judging panel in participating states will each receive a double pass to Summadayze in their state of residence their region valued at $250.00 per double pass. Total prize pool in each state is valued at $1,000.00.
    PROMOTION: SIA National Side Show Tour
    Participating states: VIC/NSW/SA
    Promotional period: Commences 23/12/2010 at 9:00am and concludes 16/1/2011 at 12:00pm
    Judging: 17 January 2011 from 1:00pm
    Criteria: The most creative and unique answers as selected by the judging panel will be deemed winners.
    Prize pool: The first seven (7) entrants selected by the judging panel in participating states will each receive a double pass to SIA National Tour in their state of residence and one (1) SIA CD. Each prize package is valued at $133. Total prize pool in each state $931.00.
    PROMOTION: Fact or Fiction- SIA
    Participating states: National
    Promotional period: Commences 5/1/2011 at 9:00am and concludes 15/1/2011 at 12:00pm
    Judging: 16 January 2011 from 1:00pm
    Criteria: The first twenty (20) participants to answer the "fact or fiction" questions correctly will be deemed the winners.
    Prize pool: Winners will each receive a SIA ' We Are Born' CD valued at $ 29.95 each. Total prize pool is valued at $599.00.
    PROMOTION: Future Music Festival
    Participating states: VIC/NSW/QLD/SA/WA
    Promotional period: Commences 17/1/2011 at 9:00am and concludes 7/2/2011 at 12:00pm
    Judging: 5 February 2011 from at 1:00pm
    Criteria: The most creative and unique answers as selected by the judging panel will be deemed winners.
    Prize pool: There are four (4) prizes to be awarded in each participating state (VIC, NSW, SA). The first four entrants selected by the judging panel in participating states will each receive a double pass to Future Music Festival in their state of residence valued at $250 per double pass. Total state prize pool $1,000.00
    PROMOTION: Creamfields
    Participating states: VIC/NSW/QLD/SA/WA
    Promotional period: Commences 14/2/2011 at 9:00am and concludes 6/3/2011 at 12:00pm
    Judging: 7 March 2011 from at 1:00pm
    Criteria: The most creative and unique answers as selected by the judging panel will be deemed winners.
    Prize pool: There are four (4) prizes to be awarded in each participating state (VIC, NSW, SA,WA, QLD). The first four entrants selected by the judging panel in participating states will each receive a double pass to Creamfields in their state of residence valued at $220 per double pass. Total state prize pool $880.00.
    PROMOTION: Bliss N Eso National Tour
    Participating states: VIC/NSW/QLD/WA/TAS
    Promotional period: Commences 8/3/2011 at 9:00am and concludes 29/3/2011 at 12:00pm
    Judging: 30 March 2011 from 1:00pm
    Criteria: The most creative and unique answers as selected by the judging panel will be deemed winners.
    Prize pool: There are three (3) prizes available in each participating state (VIC, NSW, QLD, WA, Tas). The first three (3) entrants selected by the judging panel in participating states will each receive two (2) tickets to Bliss N Eso National Tour valued at $100 per double pass. The total state prize pool $300.00.
    PROMOTION: Fact or Fiction- Bliss N Eso
    Participating states: National
    Promotional period: Commences 16/3/2011 at 9:00am and concludes 29/3/2011 at 12:00pm
    Judging: 30 March 2011 from 1:00pm
    Criteria: The first twelves (12) participants to answer the "fact or fiction" questions correctly will be deemed the winners.
    Prize pool: Winners will each receive a Bliss N Eso 'Running On Air' CD valued at $29.95 each. Total prize pool is valued at $360
  5. Multiple entries will be accepted providing that each entry is unique.
  6. Entries must be the original creation of the entrant and free from any claims including copyright or trademark infringement of a third party. Entries that the promoter considers do not or which are found not to comply with the criteria will be disqualified.
  7. Judging and announcement will take place at 91 Tope St, South Melbourne, 3205. Judging of all eligible entries will be conducted by the Promoters judging panel. Entries will be judged on their own merit. The most creative and original eligible entries received, as determined by the judging panel, will be deemed the winners. Winners will be contacted via phone, email and details will be published online via www.facebook.com/mythreads within 2 days of the initial judging date. The judging panel decision as to the winners and prize distribution is final and binding on all entrants.
  8. Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time the entry is received in the competition database and not at the time of transmission. No responsibility will be taken for incomplete, late or lost entries.
  9. Tickets will be mailed via express or secure post to the winner's nominated address. Ticket collection at the event will be at the Promoters discretion.
  10. Unless expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions all other expenses become the responsibility of the Winner. The Winner (and their companion) are responsible for all expenses incurred in accepting the prize, including spending money, meals and beverage, all transfers including travel to and from departure point to event, insurance), and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner.
  11. Event dates, times and venues are subject to change without notice. The Promoter makes no representation as to date, time, venue or occurrence of the event or the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any venue.
  12. Winners must present the original allocated ticket on entry to the correct event and photo ID if required by the event – tickets presented must coincide with the event, date and times displayed on the ticket or entry will not be granted.
  13. The Promoter reserves the right to request Winners to provide proof of age, identity and residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.
  14. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, or who submits an entry/claim which is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  15. The prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied unless authorised by the Promoter. The prize value includes GST and is in Australian dollars and is correct at time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. If a prize or part of a prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value subject to any written directions from the relevant lottery Departments.
  16. The prize is not transferable to another person or exchangeable. The prize cannot be redeemed as cash, other goods and services or sold to a third party including online auctions and private sales. Any unused portions of the prize will be forfeited and no compensation will be paid in lieu of that element of the prize.
  17. The Promoter's decision in relation to any aspects of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into.
  18. The Promoter and its associated agencies, and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.
  19. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of or in connection with this promotion if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of the Promoter including without limitation technical malfunctions or failures.
  20. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual or entrant who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion or the reputation of the promotion, Promoter or Myer. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
  21. All entries become the property of the Promoter and Myer. The Promoter collects personal information about you to enable you to participate in this promotion. Use of such information will be in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Your personal information may be provided to Myer. Also, to facilitate your participation, the Promoter may disclose your personal information to other companies associated with this promotion in addition to Myer. By entering this promotion unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that the Promoter and Myer may use his/her personal information in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes (including conducting research, advising you of special sales, specific promotional events and other special offers) without any further reference, payment, or other compensation to the entrant including, sending the entrant electronic messages. Entrants' personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments and winners' names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at their address set out below.
  22. Entrants agree to participate and co-operate with the Promoter as required by the Promoter in all editorial and promotional activities in connection with the competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter or Myer for an unlimited period of time without remuneration. Winners also agree to grant to the Promoter and Myer a perpetual and exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the Winners will not be entitled to any fee or compensation for such use.
  23. Winners may be required to execute a Deed of Acknowledgement, Release and Indemnity in favour of the Promoter and Myer and in form prescribed by the Promoter and Myer, at the Promoters discretion.
  24. If for any reason a promotion is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, malfunction of any telephone network or line, unavailability of prizes (such as delay or cancellation of the events) providers or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion then the Promoter may cancel or vary the competition to ensure that the fairness and integrity is maintained. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
  25. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders it's determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the activity and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to State and Territory Regulation.
  26. The Promotion title "Jump the Queue" is a play on words only and is relevant to the title of this Promotion. The Promoter and associated Festivals and event partners under no circumstances condone any action in relation to "Jump the Queue" and does not provide any priority type ticketing to the events.
