BCI Sunflower Clinic

Help fight breast cancer.

Free breast screening service available at Myer stores in Western Sydney

A world-first concept to help increase access to free breast screening mammograms launched in several Myer stores in 2009 with the opening of BCI Sunflower Clinics. The clinics are the exciting result of a community partnership between Westmead Breast Cancer Institute (BCI) and Myer, with funding from the BCI, the Cancer Institute of NSW, Sydney West Area Health Service and NSW Health.

Thousands of women have been screened in the Myer BCI Sunflower Clinics, taking advantage of the convenient clinic locations in Myer lingerie departments and longer clinic opening times which help customers fit regular life-saving mammograms into their busy lives. The BCI Sunflower Clinics are open during Myer’s normal trading hours including late nights and some weekend times.

Free mammograms for women, especially those aged 50-69 years, are available at Myer Castle Hill, Myer Parramatta, Myer Penrith and Myer Blacktown. The Clinics are fitted with the latest digital screening mammography equipment that shorten the testing and reporting times, and produce high quality images, all in the comfort of a modern and friendly setting.

So, next time you’re out shopping at Myer, why not get a free mammogram - especially now that the life-saving test is conveniently available in the lingerie department of your nearby department store?
